In August 2023, a 3 minute video was screened at the Mangere Arts Centre, featuring Rise Up children sharing themes from interviews with 77 Pacific children and young people aged 5-19 years, on what ‘doing well’ looks like for them. Artist Maka Makatoa and Rise Up Academy worked together to create this animated film. The interviews are part of a 10 year study into ‘success’ as Māori and as Pasifika.
