Understanding the Landscape of Auckland & Northland: An Evidence Review

The Centre completed this evidence review to inform the implementation of Foundation North’s 2018 Strategic Plan. These key findings have been used to inform the development of funding priorities for the Foundation alongside the development of a broader range of positive outcomes that best contribute to the Foundation’s overall vision.

Investing for Impact in South Auckland and Northland

Foundation North's new strategy identifies South Auckland and Northland as being disproportionately affected by disparities across key indicators: income, education, employment, child and youth wellbeing and outcomes for Māori communities and Pacific communities. The Centre for Social Impact’s research helped the Foundation further understand how and where these disparities are experienced by communities within South Auckland and Northland.

Effective philanthropic support for diverse communities

The Foundation commissioned The Centre for Social Impact and The Oryza Foundation to carry out research to help it understand the needs of refugee- and migrant-background communities to guide its work to improve outcomes for diverse communities. This research included data analysis, a literature review and a series of interviews with key stakeholders from the sector.
